Golf Book Release: Kids & Golf

The book is intended for children age 4 and up. The company is actively seeking pro shops and retailers to carry the book.

Famed golfer Byron Nelson had this to say about the book. "Jay's coloring book offers a fun activity for children learning the game, while teaching them golf fundamentals and etiquette at the same time. I'm sure this will be a great book for youngsters and will certainly come in handy on those cold or rainy days when they can't play!"

Since a 4 year old is too young to read this book, the book is intended for a parent or grandparent to read it to these children while (hopefully) developing a lifetime mutual interest in golf. It's suggested that the book be kept and read over and over to fully learn the lessons and to increase their enjoyment of the game. Older children who can read, will enjoy reading and learning about golf while having fun coloring the pictures.

PGA member Jay Golden drew upon his wealth of junior golf experiences to write this entertaining and informative book. His background includes: participation in junior golf from the ages 12-17, being a professional trick shot artist, teaching of hundreds of juniors, organizing junior tournaments including his original "Junior Golf Fun Day" events, and being a father who introduced his three children to golf prior to their second birthday. He took great care in selecting many of golf's most important topics such as safety, rules and etiquette. Within these chapters are lessons, tips and stories for the purpose of children having a safe, fun and fulfilling time playing golf.

Award winning illustrator, Jack Woolhiser, spent more than a year drawing and redrawing the line illustrations in this book for them to be technically correct while maintaining their amusement. It is a tribute to this artist/illustrator to have achieved this goal.
