These new irons all provide game improvement characteristics to players at all skill levels. "Tommy Armour 845(R) irons are one of golf's most successful brands and we continue to develop this franchise using the best technology and design elements available," said John Gutelius, Vice President, Marketing & Product, Tommy Armour Golf. "The new SilverBack Series was designed using the Maltby Playability Factor rating system which is backed by more than 30 years of golf R&D excellence. Few manufacturers in the golf industry have been able or willing to support their game improvement claims through scientific testing. The Maltby Playability Factor's rating system enables Tommy Armour to offer iron models, designed specifically to a golfer's playing level, that are backed by expert, independent testing and data." Don R. Graber, Chairman, President and CEO of Huffy Corporation, commented, "The new Tommy Armour SilverBack(R) irons are yet another example of our new product engineering efforts and of our continuing effort to offer golfers innovation and performance in all of our product lines. We have been extremely pleased by the favorable reception that the new SilverBack(R) irons received from dealers, players and the golf media at the PGA Merchandise Show."
