Suncor Golf announces purchase of Club West |

January 24, 2004 By: Wayne Guest Suncor Golf announces purchase of Club WestSunCor Golf, a division of Phoenix, Arizona-based SunCor Development Company, today announced the purchase of controlling interest in Club West Golf Club in Phoenix, Ariz.SunCor Golf will be managing partner of the 18-hole southwest Phoenix golf course and clubhouse, with minority owner Mark White, president of Whitehouse Productions, staying on as a limited partner in the project. 'The Club West property adds a whole new dimension to the range of golf experiences we are able to offer our guests,' said Tom Patrick, vice president of golf operations for SunCor. 'Club West is a golf course that really challenges its players and offers some of the best quality golf in the area. We are proud to add this facility to our family of golf courses.' SunCor Golf plans to begin golf course and clubhouse enhancements on Club West immediately to help bring it up to the company's stringent quality standards. Club West Golf Club is a 7,024-yard, par-72 desert-style course that winds through the Sonoran desert foothills, offering dramatic elevation changes and panoramic views of South Mountain.
