January 24, 2004 By: Wayne Guest Tommy Armour reintroduces forged Ti DriverIn stores since May 2001, the Tommy Armour® 845 Stripe Driver has proven itself to be a hot commodity for 2002, lowering scores and offering greater distance with each shot. Conforming to USGA's specifications, the 845 Stripe Driver features an over sized clubhead (350 cc), 6-4 titanium body and a thin forged titanium face, offering more stability and control when striking the ball. The center of gravity is nestled deep within the clubhead, reducing spin and maximizing the carry and roll. The shaft is 45" and available in True Temper Bi Matrix or UST Pro Force 65. "Our goal this year was to rejuvenate the Tommy Armour brand which meant designing and manufacturing product with the latest technology while at the same time offering branded value to golfers of all skill levels", said John Gutelius, Director of Sales & Marketing. "We accomplished our goal and our sales have exceeded our expectations even before the official launch at the PGA Show in Orlando in January 2002". The 845 Stripe Driver is available in R, S Flexes with loft options of 8, 10 and 12 degrees (left hand - 8 and 10 degree's only).
