Sonartec Golf On Fire; Collecting Wins from All Over the World

Sonartec Golf had wins two weeks in a row on the Japan Golf Tour and four wins in the last two weeks around the globe.

The winner of the JCB Classic Open on the Japan Golf Tour used two NP-99 fairway woods in 13 and 19 degree lofts for Sonartec's 8th victory of 2004. A different player used the same NP-99 club combination the previous week to win Japan's Diamond Cup tournament by 5 strokes.

Since May 23, winners of the Deutsche Bank - SAP Open TPC of Europe on the European Tour and the SAS Classic on the Nationwide Tour had Sonartec woods in play. The winner of the Deutsche Bank used an SS-03 and the SAS Classic champion won with an Md equipped with a UST Irod shaft. The Irod is the same shaft that comes standard with the Md Transition Series.

Sonartec has 42 Worldwide Tour wins since 2001. Thirty-seven of those wins have come on the 3 PGA Tours, the European Tour and the Japan Golf Tour. The patented Driving Cavity is leading Sonartec's PGA Tour and retail success. The Driving Cavity removes mass from the sole and back of the club head, allowing Sonartec to manipulate the horizontal and vertical Center of Gravity position within the club head.

The design redistributes weight to the heel and the toe, pulling the CG deep within the club head for forgiveness on miss-hits. The design also raises the CG, producing a penetrating ball flight that maximizes distance.

Controlling the CG positions enables Sonartec to develop performance-oriented golf clubs designed to meet the specific needs of various player types - from the beginning golfer looking for forgiveness to the professional looking for control and workability. The design received the Golf Tips Magazine Tech Award for Most Innovative Weighting Scheme. Also see: discount golf balls.
