Bettinardi Golf has been recognized for their outstanding design of the Big Ben putter; the putter was released last January at the PGA Merchandise show and was a huge success for both Bettinardi Golf and Ben Hogan. The Big Ben putter is made from Aluminum and its unique design provides the player with easy alignment, the honeycomb center creates the weighting in which 38% of the weight is behind the face to promote proper follow through. The Big Ben is the predecessor to the Baby Ben, which will be released later this month. The Baby Ben has already won a Major Championship when Jim Furyk captured the 2003 US Open title using a prototype of the putter. In total, Bettinardi putters claimed more than $10,000,000.00 in prize money worldwide for the 2003 season. Robert J. Bettinardi, President and founder of Bettinardi Golf, said, The Big Ben putter was developed after listening to PGA Tour players, many of them requested a putter that had large sight lines and weighting that allows acceleration through the putt. Robert Bettinardi took the requests from the players and utilizing his design skills he crafted another masterpiece.
