• Blue Heron Pines Welcomes the First Annual American Land Lease Cup
  The First Annual ALL Cup will be held at Blue Heron Pines Golf Course Community on Friday, January 23, 2004. In the first of three events, golf teams from Cypress Greens Golf & Tennis Community in Lake Alfred and Riverside Club Golf & Boating Resort in Ruskin will join the team from Blue Heron Pines to compete in the first round of the ALL Cup.

• Karakal Golf Grips signs tour club repair van
  Karakal Golf Grips has recently entered into an agreement with Tom Hunt of the Tour Club Repair Van to sponsor Hunt on the Nationwide, PGA and Senior PGA tour events. Hunt has been on the tour for the past 15 years doing alterations, assembly and fine tuning equipment for professionals. When not on tour Hunt operates a major golf club fitting and repair shop at the Greenleaf Resort in Florida.

  Golfing is a sport that does not require any definite equipment. You will find apparel of all types and qualities. One item that many people find is necessary is golf gloves. They should be soft and fit snuggly as well as strong and durable. Leather is the favored choice for golf gloves and considered the best quality wise. However, synthetic material is also used, the most popular being Lycra. Lycra has the advantage of being naturally waterproof which means it can be machine washed when needed. Leather is often thought of as superior because it provides a natural grip when golfers are grasping their clubs. It can be tanned to be waterproof and yet remain soft and supple.
