- Callaway Golf Completes Prosecution of Jimmy Lin and Newport Golf with Seizure of Thousands of Copycat Clubheads
Callaway Golf Company announced that it has seized 27,000 clubheads from Newport Golf, an Anaheim, California-based entity controlled by Jimmy Lin and accused of selling illegal copies of Callaway Golf's market-leading golf clubs. A court-mediated settlement recently gave Callaway Golf over $800,000 in cash and 28,000 other golf club components valued at more than $500,000, plus the right to conduct a final inspection of Lin's inventory.
